As we reach the end of our Autumn term it is nice to feel that we are getting back to some form of a 'normal' school year. We are able to plan trips with confidence that they will be going ahead, we can have visitors back into the school to share skills, deliver workshops and support learning.
Next term will be no exception, with the film festival inviting all year groups across the school to the cinema for special school screenings.
November will be dedicated to sustainability; we will be looking at the impact we can make on a local level and a global level.
December we will be encouraging our parents to come and watch our early years and year 1 performances around the nativity.
We will continue our sports focus with more team and multisports events being held in competition with local schools - this term we have reestablished ourselves by competing in cross country and football.
As always if you want to keep up with weekly news please sign up to class dojo or let the office know you would like a copy.
Just a reminder to all parents that there will be a parent mental health champion workshop on Thursday 13th October, if you haven't already, please sign up in the school office.

We thank you for your support at this difficult time. Please contact your child's class teacher via Dojo if you have any questions.
With school closed to the majority of pupils we have seen the first week of home schooling. We want to thank everyone for all they have done at home and want to tell you, you are doing a great job in these difficult times.
Whether you have done a little or all of the work we sent home, your main focus right now is spending time with your family and keeping each other safe.
I wanted to say a huge thank you to the staff at Queen's Park too for making sure all our key worker children have a safe place to come, despite leaving their families at home, each and every member of our team are working towards reducing as much stress during this time as possible.
Thank you to our kitchen and cleaning staff for continuing to provide an amazing service and to our team who have been sourcing food bank for everyone who needs it.
You should also have received a message about our meals going forward too. If you are entitled to free school meals over what would have been the holidays, and you would like a meal, our neighbours at The Avenues will be providing these.
Stay safe during this difficult time.
Unfortunately, despite reassurances school will be closed today. This is due to all power now being off as Network Power look for the break in the cable. Once we know more we will inform you.
Throughout the day additional homework will be placed on the school pages.
Good Morning,
School will be closed today due to a power failure. We have no electricity, hot water, kitchen, internet or phones.
We have engineers on site who are trying to fix the problem and we hope to be open as normal tomorrow.
Please check the website, Twitter or Class Dojo for more information later.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
