Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Following training all our staff in Mental Health First Aid, we are now looking to train a number of our parents to become Mental Health Champions. These parents will be around to support the school community in signposting to appropriate help.
We were encouraged to see that Westminster Children's University which started out at Queen's Park has been recommended to be introduced across the whole of Westminster. Please see the attached PDF with recommendations.

We were pleased to invite Westminster Council in to see the work we are doing for wellbeing, for our children, staff and community.
Please find attached the pages referring to the great work going on at QPPS.
We were delighted to win the national award for healthy relationships and making a stand against Domestic Violence. We continue to open up the discussion in the hope that our children can make a difference and speak out.
We were so pleased to be nominated and win the National Award for Learning and Education at the Positive Practice Awards 2018 at Manchester Town Hall. We have invested a lot of time and effort in ensuring that we provide support across the school and create a positive environment where we understand metacognition and factors that affect mental health.
We will continue to share the work we are doing and hope that other schools follow suit.
We are pleased to announce we received an award from the Mayor of London, celebrating Queen's Park Primary's commitment to staff wellbeing.
Mr Commins and Mrs Killip went to City Hall to receive the award in person.
Upon receiving our award we were given the following letter:
The Healthy Workplace Charter is the first pan-London framework that supports and recognises investment in staff health and wellbeing, partnering local public health resource with employers. You are one of over 170 organisations that have met the standards to date. All of your hard work is helping to improve the health of Londoners and showcase the Charter as a valuable framework for other employers to invest in staff health and wellbeing.
We are delighted to receive this award and want to continue putting wellbeing at the front of all that we do at Queen's Park Primary.
