  • Grenfell Tower - A message to our community

    Sun 18 Jun 2017
    Grenfell Tower fire
In the wake of the Grenfell fire tragedy, Queen's Park Primary School stands with our community, particularly those who have been uniquely affected by what has happened.

The support shown across the country has been unwavering. The desire to help, to do something, to not stand idly by, has been seen across all sections of our community.
In the aftermath of this tragedy, there will be anger, sadness, anxiety and a hope for justice. People have lost their lives, families have been made homeless and the trauma suffered by so many will last a lifetime.

As a school and as a community we will continue to support those in need. While we can never replace what has been lost, we will do everything in our power to give support.
As a school and a community we will continue our commitment to fostering compassion for others and unconditional respect for those who freely help others in need.

On behalf of all of us at Queen's Park Primary School we send our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the Grenfell community.

We are launching an appeal to collect clothes, bedding and food for those affected by last night’s fire. Please bring any donation to the playground tomorrow morning so we can send them to a crisis centre.

Friday we will have a non-uniform day and collect money for this appeal. Please give as much as you can.
